Welcome to the home page of the Glade Arkansas Community Historical Society.
We hope you will enjoy a nostalgic trip to the past by learning about this wonderful community!
The Glade Community Historical Society (GCHS) was established on November 5, 2011, to preserve the history of our Arkansas communities. By researching and gathering stories, documents and artifacts, we are preserving the Glade, Pinelog and Garfield communities to enable future generations to understand past contributions to Northwestern Arkansas.
The next GCHS quarterly meeting is scheduled at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 24, at the Glade Post Office on Slate Gap Rd. The meeting is open to everyone for a tour of the post office and the Coal Gap School. Come join us for music and ice cream!

The Society's first major project was to move and restore the old post office/store building from Pea Ridge back to the Glade.
