Welcome to the home page of the Glade Arkansas Community Historical Society.

We hope you will enjoy a nostalgic trip to the past by learning about this wonderful community!

About

The Glade Community Historical Society (GCHS) was established on November 5, 2011, to preserve the history of our Arkansas communities. By researching and gathering stories, documents and artifacts, we are preserving the Glade, Pinelog and Garfield communities to enable future generations to understand past contributions to Northwestern Arkansas.

Project

The Society's first major project was to move and restore the old post office/store building from Pea Ridge back to the Glade.

GCHS members are still working to renovate the old Glade Post Office and Store. It was moved from Pea Ridge in July 2014. Getting it in usable shape is the next item on our project agenda!
